One is writing this from the cool comfort of one's garden facing room at the luxurious Bissau Palace Hotel at Jaipur in Rajasthan. A One has just returned to Jaipur after completing a day trip to "Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh". This landscaped garden was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh in 1728 for his second queen, a princess from Udaipur. The Maharaja presented this royal garden to his beloved queen to serve as a perfect retreat for the dainty princess. Away from hustle bustle of court politics, the garden offered a peaceful haven for Sisodia Rani. The garden is filled with various plant species, lush green shrubs and scented flowers. The walls are decorated with colourful murals. One passes through narrow streets with heritage havelis and several traditional Rajasthani dhabas enroute from Bissau Palace to Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh.
