Being escorted to "The Villa", Ajmer
If you want to get an experience of boating in a large waterbody, which is a historic lake fed by rainwater that descends from the hills, Anasagar Lake is an attractive destination. Anasagar Lake is located 4 km. away from Ajmer Railway Station. The Aravalli Hills around Anasagar Lake are full of Khejri trees and are home to Blue Bulls and Serpent Eagles. On the outskirts of Ajmer, one finds several tiny hamlets of local villagers. Anasagar Lake
is located just 6 km. away from "The Villa" which is going to be my home at Ajmer for the next three days. Anasagar Lake attracts migratory birds from Siberia and Tibet every winter. A person interested in wildlife, bird-watching and boating should certainly visit Anasagar Lake, which is surrounded by green rocky hills on one side and Ajmer city on the other side.
