Recipe: Rinse the urad dal thoroughly. Soak in water for a few hoursnand grind itinto a fine paste. Keep the batter for a few hours. Add finely sliced onion, ginger and green chillies and sea salt to this batter. Make doughnut shaped balls (vadas). Pour the coconut oil into a pan and fry the vadas till they are crispy golden brown. Serve hot with coconut chutney, sambhar or podi.
