At Bhuj Railway Station
In February 2016, I undertook a journey to the only home of the Zat tribals in the "Great Rann of Kutch", located in Bhuj District of Gujarat State. The village of Dhordo is located 70 km. away from Bhuj town. The terrain is barren and covered with thorny shrubs. Wildlife including jackals, blue bulls, wild camels and chinkras can be found on the fringe areas of the desert. Dhordo is located 40 km. away from Khavada, which is the entry point into the Banni grasslands.
